Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
    • Design and follow fitness programs incorporating cardiovascular, flexibility, muscular endurance, and muscular strength activities. Track heart rates.
    • Demonstrate progression in health and fitness levels as assessed through periodic health and fitness assessments. Apply appropriate safety precautions.
    • Perform and achieve minimum standards on periodic job related physical skill assessments similar to what will be required upon application for employment.

  1. Target heart rate calculation, monitoring and tracking.
  2. Designing a balanced fitness program including cardiovascular and strength training components.

  6. Understand and achieve established minimum physical ability levels as they relate to job performance.
