Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Describe the role of the pharmacy technician in the community pharmacy setting, specific to the assigned experiential practice site
2. Demonstrate ability to apply skills and competencies learned in the classroom setting to function effectively in the workplace, as evaluated by preceptor and course instructor.
3. Display role-appropriate professional behavior in the experiential practice site, as evaluated by preceptor and course instructor.

1. Orientation to practice site.
2. Definition of role, responsibilities and duties.
3. Observation of pharmacist/pharmacist tech. functions at practice site.
4. Performance of assigned tasks under observation of supervising pharmacist.
5. Documentation of performance of all required elements delineated in course list of tasks essential to demonstrate competencies.
