Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Navigate within Outlook (use panes, tabs, ribbons, dialog boxes, and views).
  2. Set up an e-mail account in Outlook.
  3. Create, send, receive, and manage e-mail with MS Outlook (attach files, send a cc and a bcc, forward mail, create voting buttons, set flags, create custom signatures, request delivery and read receipts, and empty and clean e-mail folders).
  4. Create, edit, and manage contacts with MS Outlook (create contact groups, create business cards, import and export contacts, and create mailing labels).
  5. Create, edit, and manage Outlook calendars (change views, create meeting requests, share calendars, publish a calendar, set categories, set recurring appointments, set reminders, and change calendar options).
  6. Create and manage tasks and to-do items with Outlook.
  7. Use folders, rules, and categories to manage items within Outlook.
  8. Customize Outlook to work for individual needs.
  9. Communicate interactively with geographically dispersed individuals through text, audio, and video.
  10. Use Web resources to collaborate and communicate with others.
