Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Perform microscale and semi-microscale organic laboratory techniques, including the synthesis, separation, isolation, purification, and identification of organic compounds.
  2. Perform green chemistry laboratory techniques, including the use of water as a solvent and photochemical methods.
  3. Complete lab experiments in organic chemistry, including elimination, substitution, addition, Michael, and aldol reactions.
