 Course Description  

Introduction to the safe and proper use of hand and power tools commonly used in the welding and fabrication trades. Covers set-up, operation, trouble-shooting, and maintenance of saws, grinders, drill press, roller, sheet metal brake, and planer.

 Prerequisite  

Prerequisite: WT 111, 114, and 211.

  3. Perform basic cutting and forming operations using industry standard power tools.
  4. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance operations on hand and power tools.
  5. Be aware of proper safety guidelines per OSHA for each piece of equipment being used in the shop.
