Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Effectively use self reflection techniques to identify styles of leadership and how to effectively work with others of different leadership styles.
  2. Be able to effectively work in a group environment in order to accomplish projects in a professional manner.
  3. Improve or incorporate new abilities to leadership and ethical values and how to use those skills to improve campus and general communities.

Course Contents

  1. Studets will take an in depth look at leadership theories and practices and gain a better understanding of various leadership styles.
  2. Students will learn effective and professional communication skills essential to work in diverse work enviromets in order to accomplish group and individual goals or projects.
  3. Students will gain a better understanding of integrity and ethical values through group discussions and classroom lessons.
  4. Students will develop the ability to self reflect on individual leadership styles and how to identify other to work together effectively.
  5. Students will be given tools to learn how to commuicate in a professional manner through non verbal, verbal anf written communication.
  6. Students will learn how to effectively work in group projects and be challanged in different leadership roles within a group atmosphere.
  7. Students will feel challenged and engaged through group discussion. Studets will learn how to formulate their thoughts and views into projects.
  8. Students will understand the importance of leadership in higher education and basic foundations of how to be an effective leader.
