 Course Description  

Re-qualification of the UBC Scaffold Erectors Card. Any changes regarding scaffold erecting in CFR-1926, Subpart L will be covered. Math, proper and safe techniques of scaffold systems will be reviewed.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Review the current state and federal safety regulations for temporary work platforms � also known as scaffolding.
  2. Review and demonstrate the practices & procedures for the safe and efficient construction, alteration, and/or dismantling of welded frame, mobile tower, system, and tube & clamp scaffolds.
  3. Review the requirements & regulations for fall protection and falling object protection. Review and apply the rules and regulations to scaffold planks & platforms.
  4. Review calculating allowable loads for scaffolding. Review calculating contributory leg loads.
  5. Renew the Scaffold Erector certificate and qualification card from the UBC.
