 Course Description  

This OSHA 10-hour Outreach Training Program class is intended for entry level workers, while the 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility. Provides training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplace. Also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Upon successful completion, the student will receive an OSHA completion card for Construction. OSHA completion cards for construction do not expire.

  2. Explain how OSHA inspections are conducted and how to utilize helpful worker safety and health resources.
  3. Identify, describe, recognize employer requirements, and protect his/herself from construction worksite illnesses, injuries and/or fatalities for OSHA Outreach Training Program designated �Focus Four� topics:
    • a. Caught-in or-between; b. Electrocution hazards; c. Struck-by hazards; d. Fall hazards.
  4. Familiarize his/herself with the OSHA safety standards regarding Personal Protective & Lifesaving Equipment and Health Hazards in Construction.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to access & utilize OSHA standards for the construction industry (29 CFR Part 1926).
