Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Identify the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of a first aid responder.
  2. Demonstrate the methods used to protect a responder from bio-contamination.
  3. Demonstrate the proper use of an epinephrine pen and the proper use of bandages and the control of bleeding.
  4. Perform high-quality CPR for an adult, child or infant.
  5. Give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth and a mask for all age groups.
  6. Demonstrate how to use an AED on an adult, child or infant.
