Focuses on heavy-gauge steel framing components and the differences between steel framing and the more familiar wood framing. All aspects of load-bearing wall, floor, and roof construction are discussed. Emphasis is on structural methods, codes & standards.

  4. Demonstrate the ability to accurately interpret working drawings, specifications and schedules to prepare and install steel framing for construction.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to properly frame walls, floors, and roof systems using steel framing.
