 Course Description  

Focuses on the basic skills and knowledge required for wood framing � specifically for residential floors, walls, and rough stair building. Topics include, but are not limited to, the installation of foundation posts, beams and girders; floor mudsills and joists; layout, plating, detailing, and constructing & bracing for wall framing; and basic rough framing for interior wooden stairs.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  2. Apply a basic working knowledge of mathematics to residential framing tasks, including stair math that can be taught and practiced without the use of calculators.
