 Course Description  

Tube and Clamp scaffolding remains on top for scaffolds requiring irregular shapes. Shutdowns in nuclear power plants, spaces in oil refineries can and do require scaffolding to maintain a certain amount of clearance from machinery, switches and even piping. Focuses on the unique situations tube and clamp scaffolding can quickly be erected to provide a working platform for these often required spaces.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Accurately estimate the amount of time and material needed to build the projects assigned.
  2. Assemble a cantilever under both compression and tension forces with proper installation of clamps and raker support tubes.
  3. Erect a job built ladder cage. Reset two of the scaffolds onto an existing structure to avoid obstacles.
