Prerequisite: Completion of /co-enrollment in HSC 018 AND one of the following: completion of CCB 042, CASAS Math Goals score 226-235, or placement based on HS transcripts.

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  2. Graph points on the coordinate plane to solve real-world and mathematical problems
  3. Classify two-dimensional figures into categories based on their properties
  4. Solve real-world and mathematical problems involving area, surface area, and volume
  5. Draw, construct, and describe geometrical figures and describe the relationships between them
  6. Solve real-life and mathematical problems involving angle, measure, area, surface area and volume
  7. Understand congruence and similarity
  8. Understand and apply the Pythagorean Theorem
