 Course Description  

This is week two of a three week Pile Driver Skills Enhancement class for pre-apprentices. Develop foundational pile driver skills in a training environment that replicates typical pile driving tasks and conditions of a commercial construction site in order to provide the most realistic experience. The curriculum is designed to give students knowledge about the Pile Driver work processes for commercial construction.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Learn how to safely use a chain saw and learn rigging basics.
2. Continue learning terminology for pile driving processes.
3. Demonstrate the ability to follow all safety protocols for use of hand and power tools used in the pile driving industry.
4. Identify and describe the materials used on pile driver jobsites.
5. Become proficient in using the Construction Master Pro calculator.
6. Complete a course on sexual harassment and positive jobsite culture, and Employability Skills Training: (Jobsite Hierarchy, Navigating the Jobsite).
