After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  3. Demonstrate basic skills in voice improvement, by
    • Identifying components of the speech process
    • Recognizing, writing, and orally reproducing the sounds of American English and understanding how these sounds are produced
    • Enhancing diction, vocal production and expressiveness, and listening through vocal readings and recordings
    • Applying textbook reading assignments and library/technological research to individual, dyadic, and/or group projects
