 Course Description  

Practice and development of ASL in social and professional settings. Further incorporation of rules, vocabulary, and style will be included.

Prerequisite: ASL& 122 with a grade of C or better or instructor's permission.

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Sign with facility and speed
2. The significance of body and facial language in different settings
3. Demonstrate critical thinking in various social or professional settings
4. Identify cultural influences in signing
5. Understand and use appropriate facial expressions and body language in conjunction with conversational vocabulary.
6. Learn through visual instruction only (experiencing use of signs).
7. Deeper understanding of deaf culture and community interaction
