Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate ability to perform maintenance on 2-cycle and 4-cycle small gas engines by performing live-engine maintenance.
  2. Demonstrate ability to perform a tune-up on 2-cycle and 4-cycle small gas engines by performing live-engine tune-ups.
  3. Demonstrate ability to rebuild/overhaul a 2-cycle or 4-cycle small gas engine by performing live-engine service and following a systematic process.
  4. Demonstrate ability to diagnose a variety of small engine problems by performing live-engine diagnosis and following a systematic diagnostic approach.
