Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of the historically and socially constructed nature of human differences, with a particular focus on power and privilege.
2. Identify prevailing systems of power and one�s individual and group status.
3. Reflect critically on one�s ethical role and identity as an early childhood educator.
4. Apply equitable and anti-racist communication strategies and skills appropriate in an early childhood classroom.
5. Implement a plan to make an early childhood classroom more equitable.
