Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Have a basic knowledge set of chemistry as it relates for fire.
2. Understand the chemical and physical development of fire and its byproducts.
3. Predict the development of fire through his/her knowledge of its nature and behavior.
4. Have a thorough understanding of the combustion properties of various substances found in the work environment.
5. PROGRAM OUTCOME: Students will understand how hostile fire conditions develop that threaten the public and emergency responders.
