 Course Description  

Introduction to basic and advanced video editing techniques. Use Adobe Premiere Pro to create import, edit and export digital video using transitions, compositing and other advanced effects.

Prerequisite: Strongly recommended: computer literacy and file management skills.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Understand the Adobe Premiere Pro workspace and nonlinear video editing capabilities.
2. Set up video editing projects.
3. Learn shortcuts for choosing project settings.
4. Import and organize raw video footage for editing.
5. Use transitions, compositing, and other advanced video effects.
6. Edit, mix, sweeten and incorporate sound and audio in a video project.
7. Incorporate typography, text, and titles into a video project.
8. Export video projects using the Adobe Media Encoder.
