Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Identify the strengths and limitations of dominant approaches to organizational management and their implications for communication, leadership and follower-ship.
2. Recognize the primary forms of formal and personal social power and their associated means of control.
3. Identify personal leadership habits and tendencies.
4. Identify and apply appropriate leadership styles contingent upon situations.
