 Course Description  

Introduction to the proper application of Tube & Clamp parts, along with proper technique for consistency and uniformity when assembling Tube and Clamp supported scaffolds. OSHA standards from 1926 Construction Industry subpart L will be used to aid the student for mandatory and non-mandatory Tube and Clamp scaffold specifications. Four building projects will be required - all pertaining to everyday industrial scaffold erection.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Identify the various components associated with Tube and Clamp Scaffolds. Familiarize and interpret a Tube and Clamp Scaffold working drawing.
2. Demonstrate the ability to safely layout and erect a single bay, multi bay, multi lift, and inside/ outside corners.
3. Perform a proper inspection of a finished Tube and Clamp Scaffold. Pass a competency based examination of the rules and regulations that pertain to Tube and Clamp scaffolds.
