 Course Description  

Gives each apprentice the opportunity to be evaluated on their ability to satisfactorily demonstrate journey-level skills at the conclusion of their apprenticeship program. Apprentices must satisfactory complete comprehensive carpentry projects on time and with quality, simulating the demands and expectations of construction projects. Students will be evaluated by their instructors, their peer apprentices, and conduct self-evaluation to determine their readiness to complete the program.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Allow the apprentices to experience the expectations encountered on a typical jobsite to perform a task, with minimal supervision, to the level of a Journeyman Carpenter, but in the safer confines of the Training Center.
2. Provide a final review of the competencies learned during the apprenticeship, from the following skill categories; concrete formwork, wood framing, metal framing, exterior finish & interior finish.

Course Contents
