Course Description
Introduction to developing the journeyman carpenters' ability to select and use the proper means and methods for assembling solid wood structures specifically those using cross-laminated timber (CLT), fundamentals of solid wood, logistics plan development, rigging principles, handling and placement strategies, technical print reading applications, and site safety models. Three major conceptual schemes comprise the focus of this course, i.e. planning for assembly, implementing the installation plan, and managing site variables.
