 Course Description  

Excel Systems along with Tube and Clamp Scaffold is commonly used in a wide range of industries. Become familiar with Excel Scaffold parts, tube and clamp parts and job site procedures. Learning the proper technique of what to look for during the inspection process will be discussed. Take part in erecting an Excel scaffold and a tube and clamp scaffold (along with a rigging beam) from a set of working drawings. There will be two building projects to complete, all pertaining to everyday industrial scaffold erection.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Identify the various components associated with Excel Scaffold.
2. Familiarize and interpret an Excel Scaffold working drawing.
3. Demonstrate the ability to safely layout and erect an Excel Scaffold.
4. Demonstrate the ability to safely dismantle a Excel Scaffold.
5. Identify the various components associated with Tube and Clamp Scaffolds.
6. Familiarize and interpret a Tube and Clamp Scaffold working drawing.
7. Demonstrate the ability to safely layout and erect a single bay tube and clamp scaffolding using the endo method.
8. Perform a proper inspection of a finished Tube and Clamp Scaffold.
9. Pass a competency based examination of the rules and regulations that pertain CGS procedures along with passing an exam of Excel scaffolding parts.
