 Course Description  

Students work toward knowledge and competencies required to pass GED exams in math and science.

 Prerequisite  

Prerequisite: CCB 041 or HSC 44 or HSC 85 with a C or higher (or CASAS Math score 221+ or Accuplacer Arithmetic 237+) Prerequisite/Corequisite: HSC 018 or ELA 018 with a C or higher (or concurrent enrollment).

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Apply mathematical reasoning and critical thinking skills to real-world scenarios to solve problems using number sense, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
2. Apply reading strategies to analyze and interpret scientific arguments, evidence, and text-based information about subjects related to physical, Earth, and life sciences.
