Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Place the theatre director in proper historical perspective.
2. Analyze a play from the perspective of the director.
3. Develop a clear directorial concept and metaphor for a play and have the skills to put that concept into action.
4. Communicate directorial ideas and images to designers and actors.
5. Work with actors in an open and creative way.
