 Course Description  

An introductory course in differential equations. Topics include existence and uniqueness theorems, methods of solving first and second order differential equations, numerical methods, and Laplace Transforms. Graphing technology required.

Prerequisite: MATH& 153 with a "C" or higher.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Solve first and second order linear differential equations
2. Solve second order equations with constant coefficients, and undetermined coefficients.
3. Graph and approximate the solution of an ordinary differential equation using numerical methods and technology.
4. Analyze and solve physical applications using ordinary differential equations.
