 Course Description  

Training in skills necessary to gain employment in the automotive parts & sales industry, and as a service writer in all types of repair facilities. Learn a variety of techniques and software applications. Emphasis on oral and written communication, organizational skills, vehicle knowledge, parts cataloging, customer service, and other necessary skills for employment.

 Prerequisite  

Prerequisite: AT 100 or 107 or concurrent enrollment & OBT 099 or completion of a Keyboarding Proficiency Test.

  3. Invoicing orders, inventory and inventory control. Customer relations and cultural attitudes related to customer service.
  4. Document preparation and organization. Labor/time guide use and time management skills.
  5. Customer service/phone skills and sales/marketing skills. Dispatch/workflow.
  6. Product knowledge and warranty issues. Personal grooming and communication skills.
  7. Mathematics: Estimation and calculation. Cultural attitudes related to customer service.
