 Course Description

Immerse yourself in the adventure of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The expedition (18041806) was the first overland expedition undertaken by the United States and is responsible for the first true glimpse of the geography and natural resources of the Northwest. Through mapping and the documentation of over 300 plant and animal species the territory was made real with more discoveries than any scientific exploration in history. This class presents this exciting history with real life experiences as well as with a backdrop of American literature, music and art. Join the expedition this fall that launched the westward expansion of the United States.
