 Course Description  

Sequential study of computer-aided design (CAD) and graphics technology. Introductory study of 3-D modeling practices. Introduces drafting operations and the procedures used to create and edit CAD models. Topics include sketching, basic commands, sketch relations, features, dimensioning, and basic assembly modeling.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

1. Understand the various comands, methods, and techniques of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) systems.
2. Create and manage CAD part files.
3. Understand sketch relations and sketch tools (offset, convert, and trim).
4. Create and modify basic extruded features.
5. Create and modify advanced loft, revolve and sweep features.
6. Pattern features to increase production through-put.
