After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Perform first aid procedures for:
    • shock
    • FBO - child, infant and adult
    • CPR - child, infant and adult (1 and 2 person)
    • Severe and minor bleeding
    • Fractures and splinting
    • First, second, and third degree burns
    • Various types of heat and cold exposure
    • Stroke, heart attack, fainting, and epilepsy
    • Oral poisoning
    • Substance abuse
    • AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Use
    • Identify functions and structures of each body system
